Meryl is GENDER.ED’s Education Lead and Co-Convenor of Understanding Gender in the Contemporary World; Deputy Director of Learning and Teaching in the School of Social and Political Science; and Co-Director of the Centre on Constitutional Change and the Feminism and Institutionalism International Network. Her research interests bridge the intersection of gender politics, party politics, territorial politics and institutional approaches to the study of politics – with current funded research focusing on ministers and institutions in Scotland; feminist institutionalism and democratic design; and gender- and diversity-sensitive parliaments.
