Rania Hamad

Rania Hamad (she/her) is currently in the second year of a part-time PhD in Social Work, undertaking qualitative research to explore the causes and motivations of hate crime via the perspectives of people who commit hate crime. Her supervisors are Dr Steve Kirkwood (Social Work) and Dr Michael Rosie (Sociology).
Her thesis working title is: 'How and why hate crime occurs: exploring the accounts of people convicted of hate crime in Scotland’.
